Invest in the Kingdom
Gospel musician and worship leader Alvin Slaughter wrote “Jesus Is Everything I Need” and “He’s All I Need,” two separate songs with a similar theme: that the Lord satisfies your needs. Jesus instructed His followers to seek the kingdom of God, and the Father would ensure you have what you need. As shoplifting and robbery have increased in the United States, some retailers have taken to locking up products that are basic necessities while other businesses have shut down their stores altogether. Jesus said to store up treasure in heaven instead of on earth, where moths destroy and thieves steal. As you lift a banner of prayer over those in positions of authority today, ask the Lord how you can increase your investment in heaven. No one can steal the reward that awaits you there!
